Saju (사주, “four pillars”) is how Koreans read a birthday.
The year, month, day and hour you were born each become a pillar of two characters, and every character belongs to one of five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
The day you were born matters most. Its first character is the heart of the reading, and it's what decides your K-Type.
A lot like MBTI: to explain themselves, to tease their friends, and around New Year in saju cafés. Couples and best friends compare theirs too. That's Gunghap.
K-Type keeps the part that describes people and leaves out fortune-telling. No predictions, just what your birthday says about you, for fun.
We ask only for the date, so we read three pillars, not four. Your K-Type and its code come from two of those six characters, and the colors in your result count all six.
